All presentation times are UTC + 9 (Asia/Tokyo)

Educators worldwide are faced with the task of meeting the needs of ever-changing populations. In the current climate of politicizing and polarizing, the task is even more challenging. As the front line to sparking change in the next generation, educators must prepare to model acceptance and promote civil discourse. To effectively do so, educators must look inward and to their own classrooms. This session will explore how educators can expand their own understandings and create communities where children and families of diverse backgrounds can feel safe and valued. Join us as we listen to the voices of those we serve and understand more about building communities of acceptance. Participants will explore challenges to establishing strong communities, analyze data to identify shifts in understanding, and evaluate effectiveness of strategies for shifting understandings and changing outcomes.
